Ballyhoo Club Sports in 2014 at HHAC
Ballyhoo Club Volleyball, under the direction of Jason Leppo, held tryouts in November, for their December - May season. Teams practice twice a week with tournaments beginning this month. Teams will also have the option to compete in USAV Nationals (by qualification) or AAU Nationals at the end of the season. Leppo merged with Ballyhoo Club Sports in October and is also the Head Coach of Delone Catholic's Girls Volleyball Team, who recently won the PIAA State Championship.
Registration is open now through February 1, 2014 for Ballyhoo Club AAU Basketball, directed by Kevin Bankos. The season runs from March through July with practices twice a week and tournaments on the weekends. The club team focuses on the fundamentals of basketball while gaining access to a whole package of conditioning and training for the sport. Bankos is not only head of the Basketball team, but also Ballyhoo Club Sports at HHAC and the Head Coach for the York Catholic Girls Basketball Team. He is a five time winner of the YAIAA Coach of the Year Award and two time winner of the PIAA AA State Coach of the Year Award. He merged his sports academy, Keystone Force, with the Ballyhoo team in December.
Directed by Dave Marsh, the mission of Ballyhoo Club Field Hockey is to provide year round training for the serious athlete. The active season runs November through June, with tryouts held in July. Teams will practice twice a week and players will compete year round in both indoor and outdoor tournaments. Marsh has been coaching for 20 years and is a past recipient of the YAIAA Coach of the Year Award for both field hockey and softball.
All athletes receive a free membership to Heritage Hills Athletic Club with their participation in the program as well as various programs, including Speed and Agility and sports clinics. Payment plans and fundraising opportunities are available for all players.
